Prophet Ibrahim

Prophet Ibrahim

Life of Prophet Ibrahim A S with Reference From Quraan

[other sources (unauthentic) mentions about The story of  Sara getting Hajra  as a gift, from a king of Egypt who was a characterless person when Sara and Ibrahim travelled there the king saw Sara He found her very beautiful and felt  bad intended on her and tried to assault her when he tried to touch her his hand got paralysed  then he appolized to her then again he committed  the same mistake again after that he found his whole body in the state of stgnancy and he excused again and realized his mistake.
That king gave hajra to sara as a gift ,  sara had no child for a long time and she suggested  to   her husband Ibrahim  to Marry her or Nika. after marriage hajra   gave the birth to Ismail,  Sara began getting jealous of  hajra  presence because of  insecurity of her husband would give much attention and love to hajra and her baby
.
For this reason she said to her husband to take hajra some where else.   Ibrahim had to take Hajra and Ismail away and leave them in the desert .  the incident of Hajra rushing between the 2 mountains (Safa and Marwa) in search of water for her baby who is crying for the  cause of hunger and thirst  her baby hit his feet on that  place  or  ground  with  thirst that resulted into the flow age of spring came   which is said to be the well of Zumzum.]

Note

According to Quran Ibrahim Have ONE wife (Unnamed)It is not from The Quran That Prophet Ibrahim ve  a slave and Ismail born from a mistress called Hajra  . it is  a hadiths and biblical a theory .

Ibrahim never separated from his son Ismail until HIS SON reached the age of working WITH HIM
When he said to his father and to his people: “What is it that which you worship?  “Is it a falsehood alihah (gods) other than Allâh that you desire?  “Then what think you about the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)?” Then he cast a glance at the stars,  And he said: “Verily, I am sick (with plague). [He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan feast].”So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease).  Then he turned to their âlihah (gods) and said: “Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? “What is the matter with you that you speak not?”  Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. He said: “Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve?“While Allâh has created you and what you make!”They said: “Build for him a building and throw him into the blazing fire!”  So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest.  And he said (after his rescue from the fire): “Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!”  “My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous.”  So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: “O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you, so look what you think!” He said: “O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Inshâ’ Allâh (if Allâh will), you shall find me of As-Sâbirun (the patient).”Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allâh), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead ;  And We called out to him: “O Abraham!  You have fulfilled the dream!” Verily! thus do We reward the Muhsinûn. Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial.  And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (a ram);  And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among the later generations. Salâmun (peace) be upon Ibrâhim (Abraham)!”  Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinûn (good-doers). Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishâq (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous.  We blessed him and Ishâq (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 37(85-113)
Till Ismail grew the age of working, he was WITH HIS father Abraham, and there was no separation between them.
According To Quran
The  Ibrahim Wife  had a child very late  she was an old woman.  This child was  Ishaq . Verses 11:69-73.  These verses confirm that Ibraham’s wife  gave birth as an old woman.  She gave birth to Ishaq.  Yaqub name is also mentioned.
And Our messengers cam unto Abraham with good news. They said: Peace! He answered: Peace! and delayed not to bring a roasted calf. And when he saw their hands reached not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! Lo! we are sent unto the folk of Lot. And his wife, standing by laughed when We gave her good tidings (of the birth) of Isaac, and, after Isaac, of Jacob. She said: Oh woe is me! Shall I bear a child when I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man? Lo! this is a strange thing! They said: Wonderest thou at the commandment of Allah? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Lo! He is Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory!11Surah Hud (69-73)
1  The Quran does not confirm the name  of Prophet  ibrahim  wife.
2 The Quran Mentioned prophet ibrahim’s (as) father Name was Aazar He was a well known   idol sculptor.
3  prophet ibrahim feels Bad about his father’s idols and worshipping the idols and the people worshipped them(idols) he rejected them. 4 when Prophet Ibrahim invited his father to Islam  He rejected him and threatened to stone him.
When he saw the star he said  ”Could this be my Lord?” But when it set he said: “I don’t like those that set.” The star has disappeared, it could not be God. God is always present. Then he saw the moon rising and said could  this be my Lord?” But it also set. At daybreak, he saw the sun rising and said:  “Could this be my Lord, this is bigger?” But when the sun set he said: “O my people I am free from all that you join as partners with Allah! I have turned my face towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah.” Our Lord is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and everything. He has the power to make the stars rise and set.
Prophet Ibrahim smashed and Broke idols in the temple except for the biggest one. He hung the ax around the neck of the biggest one. when  the people’s  came and saw! ask who done that with our Lords(Idols) and question about that incident to Prophet Ibrahim He Replied Ask the biggest one Idol If He Spoke.
All people there feel ashamed .after this they again say to Prophet Ibrahim You already knew They Cant speak , answered .    They were angry and they threw Ibrahim (as) into the fire. Allah ordered the fire to be cool and it did not burn Ibrahim.
Read 21:51-75 (the quranic narration of Ibrahim smashing the idols.) Discuss the motivation for Ibrahim’s actions and the stupidity of the people. Ch 6:75-83 and Ch 41:37 aloud and discuss with your children the Oneness of Allah. Discuss the supreme power of Allah(swt) and how the earth, sun , moon , planets all follow the commands of Allah
The Quran  mentioned about Safa and Marwa as one of the rituals of Hajj (Verse 2:158). Verily Safa and Marwa are of the landmarks of Allah; so whosoever maketh a pilgrimage to the House, or performeth the Umra, in him there is no fault if he walketh in-between the twain. And whosoever voluntarily doth good, then verily Allah is Appreciative, Knowing.Al-Baqara (158)
But the Quran does not say that this ritual is symbolic of Hajra looking for water.  And of course the Quran mentions absolutely nothing about Prophet Ibraham having a mistress who was his wife’s slave.
the Quran only mentions the names of the two sons of Ibrahim, (Ismail) and (Ishaq).  By reading Verses 37:100-113, it’s apparent that Ismael was the older son.
the Quran confirms that Ibrahim have sons(ismail and isaaq) in old age  and his sons lived in Makkah,  he built the Kaabah with one of his sons.  If you read Surah Ibrahim
And when Abraham said: My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving idols.  My Lord! Lo! they have led many of mankind astray. But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeyeth me – Still Thou art Forgiving, Merciful.  Our Lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy House, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they may be thankful. Our Lord! Lo! Thou knowest that which we hide and that which we proclaim. Nothing in the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah.

Praise be to Allah Who hath given me, in my old age, Ismaill and Isaaq! Lo! my Lord is indeed the Hearer of Prayer.  My Lord! Make me to establish proper worship, and some of my posterity (also); our Lord! and accept my prayer.  Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on the day when the account is cast.  Deem not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do.

He but giveth them a respite till a day when eyes will stare (in terror), As they come hurrying on in fear, their heads upraised, their gaze returning not to them, and their hearts as air. And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you?  And (have ye not) dwelt in the dwellings of those who wronged themselves (of old) and (hath it not) become plain to you how We dealt with them and made examples for you?  Verily they have plotted their plot, and their plot is with Allah, though their plot were such whereby the mountains should be moved. So think not that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong).  On the day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens (also will be changed) and they will come forth unto Allah, the One, the Almighty,  Thou wilt see the guilty on that day linked together in chains,  Their raiment of pitch, and the Fire covering their faces,  That Allah may repay each soul what it hath earned. Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning.  This is a clear message for mankind in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is only One God, and that men of understanding may take heed. 14 Ibrahim (37-52)
In these  verses the terms “this territory” and “settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy House” refer to Makkah. Any  Ayat or passage of the Quran NOT mentioned where Prophet Ibrahim lived before this. only Allah knows best.
……………………………………………….
2  Surah Al-Baqara
124 And recall what time his Lord Proved Ibrahim with certain words then he performed them. He said: verily I am going to make thee a leader unto mankind. Ibrahim said: and also of my progeny? Allah said: My covenant shall not reach the wrong-doers.
125 And recall what time We appointed the House a resort unto man kind and a place of security and said: take the station of Ibrahim for a place of prayer. And We covenanted with Ibrahim and Ismail, saying: purify ye twain My Houses for those who shall circumambulate it and those who shall stay, and those who shall bow down and prostrate themselves.
126 And recall what time Ibrahim said: my Lord! make this city a place of security, and provide the People thereof with fruits, – such of them as will believe in Allah and the last Day. Allah said: and whosoever will disbelieve, him also shall give enjoyment for a while; thereafter I shall drive him to the torment of the Fire, – an ill abode!
127 And recall what time Ibrahim was raising the foundation of the House and also Ismail, praying: our Lord! accept of us; verily Thou! Thou art the Hearer, the Knower!
128 Our Lord! make us twain submissive unto Thee, and of our progeny community submissive unto Thee, and show us our rites, and relent toward us! verily Thou! Thou art the Relentant, the Merciful!
129 Our Lord! raise up unto them an apostle from among them, who shall recite unto them Thy revelations, and shall teach them the Book and wisdom, and shall cleanse them. Verily Thou! Thou art the Mighty, the Wise.
130 And who shall be averse from the faith of Ibrahim, save one who befooleth his soul! And assuredly We chose him in this World, and verily he in the Hereafter shall be of the righteous.
131 Recall what time his Lord said unto him: submit, he said: I submit to the Lord of the Worlds.
132 And Ibrahim enjoined his sons the same and did Yaqub also, saying: O my sons! verily Allah hath chosen for you the religion, so die not except ye be Muslims.
133 Were ye witnesses when death presented itself to Yaqub, what time he said unto his sons: what will ye worship after me! They said: we shall worship the God the God of thy fathers, Ibrahim and Ismail and Ishaq, and unto Him we are submissive.
134 That are a community who have passed away, unto them shall be that which they earned and unto you that which ye earn, and ye shall be questioned not of that which they were wont to Work.
135 And they say: become Jews or Nazarenes, and ye shall be guided. Say thou: Aye! we follow the faith of Ibrahim, the upright, and he was not of the associators.
258 Bethinkest thou not of one who contended with Ibrahim concerning his Lord, because Allah had vouchsafed unto him dominion! When Ibrahim said: my Lord is He Who giveth life and causeth death, he said: give life and cause death. Ibrahim said: verily Allah bringeth the sun from the east, then bring it thou from the west. Thereupon he Who disbelieved Was dumb-founded, And Allah guideth not a wrong-doing people.
259 Or, the like unto him who passed by a town, and it lay overturned on its roofs. He said: how shall Allah quicken this after the death thereof Thereupon Allah made him dead for a hundred years, and thereafter raised him and said: how long hast thou tarried He said: I have tarried any day, or part of any day. Allah said: nay! thou hast tarried a hundred years: look at thy food and thy drink, they have not rotten, and look at thine ass; and this We have done in order that We may make of thee a sign unto men; and look thou at the bones, how we shall make them stand up and clothe them with flesh. Then when it became manifest Allah unto him he said: I know that verily everything Potent.
260 And recall what time Ibrahim Said: my Lord! shew me how Thou wiltquicken the dead. He said: belie Vest thou not! He said: O Yea but that my heart may rest at ease. He said: take then thou four of the birds, and incline them towards thee, and then put a part thereof on each hill, and thereafter call them; they will come unto thee speeding. And know thou that verily Allah is Mighty, Wise.
……..
Ibrahim was not a Jew, nor a Nazarene, but he was an upright Muslim, nor was he of the associators.Verily the nearest of mankind to Ibrahim, surely those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe; and Allah is the Patron of the believers. [66-67] 3 Surah Al-E-Imran
Verily the first House set apart unto mankind was that at Bakka, blest, and a guidance unto the worlds. Therein are signs manifest, the station of Ibrahim. And whosoever entereth it shall be secure. And incumbent on mankind is pilgrimage to the House for that good-will of Allah: on him who is able to find a way thereunto. And whosoever disbelieveth, then verily Allah is Independent of the worlds. [95 97] 3Surah Al-E-Imran
