The question of life after death has always agitated the minds of people belonging to all religions and all ages alike. There is also the atheistic view which totally denies the possibility of life after death.


The Life of Barzakh is different from the Worldly Life


He hath let loose the two seas. In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. (20) Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 55 Surah Ar-Rahman(19-21)


There are many muslims in Islam who claim to be Muslims but do not believe in hereafter.


They will say: our Lord! Thou hast made us die twice, and Thou hast made us live twice now We confess our sins: there no getting out any way? (11)Surah Ghafir 40





life of Barzakh, it is neither the kind of life before the death, nor is it like the life on the Day of Judgment. It is a life, the reality and condition of which, is not known to anyone except Allah. barzakh word use in Quran for sure but its in the middle stage not like this world or upper world


We! it is We Who have decreed death Unto you all. And We are not to be outrun. That We may substitute others like Unto you and produce you into that which ye know not. And assuredly ye have fully known the first Production Wherefore heed ye not? Behold! – that which ye sow. Cause it ye to grow, or are We the Grower? (Abdul Daryabadi)


We have appointed (the times of) death among you, and We cannot be frustrated From replacing you with others like you, and creating you (afresh) in that (form) which you do not know. And you certainly know the first creation; then why do you not take lesson? Well, tell Me about that (seed) which you sow: Is it you who grow it, or are We the One who grows? (Mufti Taqi Usman) Surah Al-Waqia 56 [60-64]


the death of the Shuhadah (martyrs) does not deny their lives of the Barzakh, which has been mentioned in the saying of Allah, �And say not of those who have been killed in the Way of Allah, they are dead.� Nay, they are living, but you are unaware of it.� [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 154]


We ask Allah to safeguard us and all the Muslims from that which contradicts the Shareeah. And Allah is the All-Knower. Translator’s Notes*9: The Meaning of al-Barzakh Linguistically, ‘al-barzakh’ means, ‘a veil, barrier or partition between two things’. Barzakh defined as a Hijab (veil). ‘Barzakh is the stage between this world and the Hereafter. ‘The Barzakh is a barrier between two things. It is the stage between this world and the other world – from the time of death until the time of Resurrection. Thus, whoever dies enters the Barzakh. The life of Barzakh is a matter of Ghayb (unseen), which is known to Allah Alone. He does not reveal the Ghayb to anyone except to His Messengers from amongst humans and angels. He, the Exalted, says in the Qur’aan, �He is the Knower of the Unseen, and He does not reveal His secrets to anyone. Except to him whom He chooses, namely, a Messenger of His.� [Soorah al-Jinn (72):26-27] we know nothing about the Ghayb, . Along these lines, our knowledge about Barzakh is also limited .Any speculation, claims, or analogy made concerning the life and conditions of Barzakh, which have no basis from the Qur’aan , is unreliable and futile.


“And they ask you concerning the Ruh (the Spirit); Say: “The Ruh (the Spirit): is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord.And of knowledge, you have been given only a little.” 17 Surat Bani Israel Verse(85)


The Fire! They are exposed thereto morning and evening. And on the Day whereon the Hour will uprise, it will be said: cause the family of Firawn to enter the most grievous torment. (46)Surah Ghafir[40]


All praise unto Allah , who created the heavens and the earth and made the darknesses and the light, yet those who disbelieve equalise others with their Lord. He it is who created you of clay and then decreed a term – and a term determined is with Him – yet ye waver. 6 Surah Al-Anaam (1-2)
