Hazrat Hakeemul Ummat Thanwi (رحمۃ اللہ علیہ) said:
“Every sin is a sign of stupidity and foolishness.“
Anyone who commits sin, then this is a sign that there is some deficiency in his intellect. He is disobeying such a Being in whose hands is our life and death, our health and sickness, peace and comfort, good and evil end. If his intellect was sound he would never commit sin. As for the one who casts evil glances, Hazrat says that he is extremely foolish. By casting glances he attains nothing other than restlessness in his heart. By looking at a beauty, one never attains him/her, rather one gets uneasiness and the heart becomes restless when one remembers him/her.
Lailatul Qadr - Night of Decree
Preparing for Lailatul Qadr:
Reported by 'Aishah (RA) :I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree) , what should I supplicate in it?"
He (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied, "You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni
(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)."

Muniba, a young Muslim university student, was home for the summer. She had gone to visit some sisters one evening and the time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year.
Muniba ended up staying longer than she had planned.
Evening came and Muniba had to walk home alone, but she wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Muniba asked "Allah (SWT)" to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, Muniba decided to take it.

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اﷲ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک بھیڑیئے نے ایک بکری کو پکڑ لیالیکن بکریوں کے چرواہے نے بھیڑئیے پر حملہ کرکے اس سے بکری کو چھین لیا۔ بھیڑیا بھاگ کر ایک ٹیلے پر بیٹھ گیا اور کہنے لگا کہ اے چرواہے! اﷲ تعالیٰ نے مجھ کو رزق دیا تھا مگر تو نے اس کو مجھ سے چھین لیا۔ چرواہے نے یہ سن کر کہا کہ خدا کی قسم! میں نے آج سے زیادہ کبھی کوئی حیرت انگیز اور تعجب خیز منظر نہیں دیکھا کہ ایک بھیڑیا عربی زبان میں مجھ سے کلام کرتا ہے۔ بھیڑیا کہنے لگا کہ اے چرواہے! اس سے کہیں زیادہ عجیب بات تو یہ ہے کہ تو یہاں بکریاں چرا رہا ہے اور تو اس نبی کو چھوڑے اور ان سے منہ موڑے ہوئے بیٹھا ہے جن سے زیادہ بزرگ اور بلند مرتبہ کوئی نبی نہیں آیا۔ اس وقت جنت کے تمام دروازے کھلے ہوئے ہیں اور تمام اہل جنت اس نبی کے ساتھیوں کی شانِ جہاد کا منظر دیکھ رہے ہیں اور تیرے اور اس نبی کے درمیان بس ایک گھاٹی کا فاصلہ ہے۔ کاش! تو بھی اس نبی کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر اﷲ کے لشکروں کا ایک سپاہی بن جاتا۔ چرواہے نے اس گفتگو سے متاثر ہو کر کہا کہ اگر میں یہاں سے چلا گیا تو میری بکریوں کی حفاظت کون کرے گا؟ بھیڑئیے نے جواب دیا کہ تیرے لوٹنے تک میں خود تیری بکریوں کی نگہبانی کروں گا۔ چنانچہ چرواہے نے اپنی بکریوں کو بھیڑئیے کے سپرد کر دیا اور خود بارگاہ رسالت میں حاضر ہو کر مسلمان ہو گیا اور واقعی بھیڑیئے کے کہنے کے مطابق اس نے نبی صلی اﷲ تعالیٰ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب کو جہاد میں مصروف پایا۔ پھر چرواہے نے بھیڑئیے کے کلام کا حضور صلی اﷲ تعالیٰ علیہ وسلم سے تذکرہ کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تم جائو تم اپنی سب بکریوں کو زندہ و سلامت پائو گے۔ چنانچہ چرواہا جب لوٹا تو یہ منظر دیکھ کر حیران رہ گیا کہ بھیڑیا اس کی بکریوں کی حفاظت کر رہا ہے اور اس کی کوئی بکری بھی ضائع نہیں ہوئی ہے چرواہے نے خوش ہو کر بھیڑیئے کے لئے ایک بکری ذبح کرکے پیش کر دی اور بھیڑیا اس کو کھا کر چل دیا۔

Hadith - Pride and Greatness
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah the Almighty said: Pride is My cloak and greatness is My garment, so whoever competes with Me regarding these two will be thrown into the Hellfire.”

Hadith - Let not one of you belittle himself
Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Let not one of you belittle himself.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, how does one belittle himself?” The Prophet said, “He finds a matter regarding Allah about which he should speak up but he does not. Allah the Exalted will say to him on the Day of Resurrection: What prevented you from speaking up about such-and-such? He will say: It was out of fear of the people. Allah will say: Rather, it is I who deserved to be feared.”

"My Ummah has been granted five things during Ramadhan which were not given to any nation before them.
1). The smell of the mouth of a fasting person is more pleasant to Allah Ta'ala than the fragrance of musk.
2). The angels seek forgiveness for him until he breaks his fast.
3). Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala beautifies His Jannah everyday and then Says to it that the time is near when My pious servants will throw over the difficulties (of the world) and will come to you.
4). The rebellious shayteen are locked up so as not to cause those evils which they normally do out of Ramadhan.
5). And those who fasted are forgiven on the last night of Ramadhan." (Musnad Ahmad)

Tariq ibn Shihab reported: A Jew said to Umar, “You recite a verse which, if it had been revealed to us, we would have taken that day as a holiday.” Umar said, “I know the place and the day on which it was revealed and where the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had been. It was revealed on the day of Arafat where the Messenger of Allah had been staying.” Sufyan said, “I am not sure if it was Friday or not. The verse was: This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favor upon you and have chosen Islam as your religion.” (5:3)

Umar ibn Al-Khattab reported: I donated a seasoned horse in the cause of Allah, but its owner made it languish. I thought that he might sell it for a cheap price. I asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about it and he said, “Do not buy it and do not take back your charity, for one who takes back his charity is like the dog who returns to his vomit.”

Hadith - Fasting
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty said, “All the deeds of the children of Adam are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.” He said further, “Fasting is a shield. If one of you is fasting, he should avoid intimate relations with his wife and arguments. If somebody should fight or argue with him, he should say: I am fasting. By Him in whose hand is my soul, the unpleasant smell coming from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. There are two pleasures for the fasting person, one at the time of breaking his fast and the other when he meets his Lord; then he will be pleased because of his fasting.”

أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ اللَّهُ كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلاَّ الصِّيَامَ فَإِنَّهُ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ. وَالصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ وَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلاَ يَرْفُثْ وَلاَ يَصْخَبْ فَإِنْ سَابَّهُ أَحَدٌ أَوْ قَاتَلَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ. وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ، لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ يَفْرَحُهُمَا إِذَا أَفْطَرَ فَرِحَ وَإِذَا لَقِيَ رَبَّهُ فَرِحَ بِصَوْمِهِ

سید نا عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ایک دن مدینہ کے قریب اپنے ساتھیوں کے ساتھ صحرا میں تھے اور بیٹھے کھانا کھا رہے تھے وہاں سے ایک چروہے کا گزر ہو ا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اُسے کھانے کی دعوت دی چرواہے نے کہا میں نے روزہ رکھا ہوا ہے سید نا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے حیران ہو کر کہا کہ اتنے شدت کی گرمی ہے اور تو نے روزہ رکھا ہوا ہے اور تم بکریاں بھی چرا رہے ہو
پھر سید نا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے اُ س کی دانتداری اور تقویٰ کا امتحان لینا چاہا اور کہا :کیا تم ان بکریوں میں سے ایک بکری ہمیں بیچ سکتے ہو ہم تمہیں اس کی قیمت بھی دیں گے اور کچھ گوشت بھی دیں گے جس سے تم اپنا رزوہ بھی افطار کر سکتے ہو،، چرواہا بولا : یہ میری بکریاں نہیں ہیں یہ میرے مالک کی بکریاں ہیں. سید نا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرمانے لگے: اپنے مالک سے کہنا کہ ایک بکری کو بھیڑیا کھا گیا. چرواہا غصے میں اپنی انگلی آسمان کی طرف کر کے یہ کہتے ہوئے چل دیا : "پھر اللہ کہاں ہے"..
ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بار بار چرواہے کی بات کو دھراتےجا رہے تھے کہ ؛ اللہ کہاں ہے اللہ کہاں ہے اور روتے جارہے تھے. اور جب سید نا عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما مدینہ پہنچے چرواہے کے مالک کو ملے اُ س سے بکریاں اور چرواہا خریدا اور اُسے آزاد کر دیا اور بکریاں بھی اُسے دے دیں اور اُسے کہا کہ تمہارے ایک جملے نے تجھے آزاد کروا دیا (اللہ کہاں ہے) اللہ سے دعا ہے کہ تجھے قیامت کے دن دوزخ کی آگ سے بھی آزاد کرے

Imran ibn Hussein reported: A man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “Peace be upon you.” The Prophet said, “Ten good deeds.” Then another man came to the Prophet and he said, “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.” The Prophet said, “Twenty good deeds.” Then another man came to the Prophet and he said, “Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.” The Prophet said, “Thirty good deeds.”

Hadith - Mujahid
Fadalah ibn Ubaid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said during the farewell sermon, “Have I not informed you? The believer is the one who is trusted with the lives and wealth of people, and the Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand people are safe. The mujahid is one who wages jihad against himself in obedience to Allah, and the emigrant is one who emigrates from sin and evil.”

Hadith - Paradise Al - Firdaus
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever believes in Allah and His Messenger, establishes prayer, and fasts the month of Ramadan will have a right upon Allah that he will be entered into Paradise whether he strives in the cause of Allah or remains in the land in which he was born.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, shall we not give the glad tidings to the people?” He said, “Verily, in Paradise are one hundred grades which Allah has reserved for those who strive in His cause; the distance between two grades is like the distance between the heaven and the earth. So when you ask Allah, then ask for upper Paradise (al-firdaws), for indeed, it is the highest part of Paradise; above it is the Throne of the Merciful and flowing rivers.”

Umar ibn Al-Khattab reported: Some prisoners of war were brought in front of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and a woman was among them who was breast-feeding. Whenever she found a child among the prisoners, she would take it to her chest and nurse it. The Prophet said to us, “Do you think this woman could throw her child in the fire?” We said, “No, not if she is able to stop it.” The Prophet said, “Allah is more merciful to His servants than a mother is to her child.”

Let me grief my soul and weep. Let me live a life full of sorrow. Leave me alone if you knew what my problem is you certainly would have excused me. Let my tears pour to infinity, this might make me feel better. Can't you see I am lying down and my family around me and hands are turning me around? Can't you see how my friends and family are surrounding me crying weeping and moaning. They have got a Doctor to treat me and I don't see that medicine will be any use to me this day. And my illness got worse and death started extracting my soul, extracting it from every vain in my body. And death took my soul and as my soul departure my throat got full of bitterness. They closed my eyes and left to buy me a coffin. And the best of my friends went in a hurry to

Umm Umarah Al-Ansari reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered her home and she served him food. The Prophet said, “Will you eat?” She said, “Indeed, I am fasting.” The Prophet said, “Verily, the angels send prayers upon the fasting person when others eat in his presence until they finish.”
